At left, Morgiana Alhazred of Gate's Edge, was named this year's titled Bard of
Elfsea after her fine performance on the previous evening. She was shocked to
learn that one of the benefits of winning was having her transportation (airfaire)
paid to carry Elfsea's bardic traditions outside the kingdom. (The Court of
Trimaris was a suggested destination!) At right, as per tradition, the Arthurian
Company was 'officially' disbanded as His Excellency thanked Centurian Airaklee
Wolf for his outstanding service as it's Commander for the preceding two years
and giving him a well deserved rest.
To the left, without hesitation, Baron Galen named His Excellency Don Llywelyn
Gruffydd as the new Arthurian Company Commander for the upcoming year. To say
that this choice of commanders was met with popular approval is a bit of an
understatement. Commander Llywelyn announced that he would begin taking Company
membership beginning at the June Highland Games event. At right, the
co-autocrats of this year's Springfaire, Lord Raimond and Lord Ferghus, who did
a wonderful job in the face of Friday's storm and a multitude of activities,
took time to thank those who helped them make the event a success.
At left, Lady Nicolette de Loria was the feastocrat and prepared one of the
tastiest, most enjoyable feasts I've had in a long time! At right, Baroness
Allessandra is presenting Lord Raimond a bit of pepper to help 'spice up' his
act. Which apparently worked, because he went and sat in the Baroness's throne
when she turned her attention to Lord Fearghus' largess. :-)
At left, Lord Caelin on Andrede is receiving a symbolic drop of pelican's blood
from Master Galen for the exlemporary, and often unseen, service that Elfsea's
seneschal always brings. One of the most deserved recognitions to be sure. At
right, Lord Lew has brought the prize (a fine mace) to be awarded the winner of
Glaslyn's upcoming mini-tourney. Upon examination, His Excellency Galen
indicated his approval of the weapon's fine workmanship.
