The following 4 vigil photos were taken by Daniel Stewart of Elfsea. Vivat Daniel!

On the left, His Excellency Alaric Drake begins his vigil the night before his knighting ceremony. On the right, Lady Arabella de Montecute admires Drake's beautiful vigil tent.

At left, Lady Arabella extends her best wishes and advice to Drake. On the right, Alaric Drake is looking good during his late night vigil. His surroundings were exquisite, fitting for this fine, soon-to-be peer.

On the left, contestants gather for the hill battle. On the right, Lady Lyonnesse (in purple) explains the rules of engagement for the upcoming battle.

At left, Lady Lyonnesse names Centurion Romanus as one of the defenders of Lyonnesse. Beyond and to the left of Romanus, Duke Kien (previously chosen) looks on and at the far right Ritter Deitriech has also been chosen to defend the Ladies of Lyonnesse. On the right, standing on the right with sword and shield in hand, Moerick prepares to join the attackers.

At left, the attackers are massing, preparing for the charge up the hill to face the defenders. On the right, the forces approach and will contain their fighting to a small opening within the woods. This image doesn't do justice to the attackers challenge of a steep hill and the soft ground on which to battle.

On the left, a better feel for the grade of the hill can be seen. Vivat to all the fighters in this final battle. They have already spent a long day in heated battle on the list field and still fight on for Lyonnesse. On the right, having made it up the hill, the attackers now engage the defenders.

At left, we see His Majesty Gunthar and Lady Lyonnesse look on in safety behind some of the defenders. Three knights and a squire, from left to right, in blue with the blue shield with yellow device is Sir Drake, then also in blue & black, Evets von der Drachen, squire to Sir Corwin von Xanten, then Ritter Deitrich and Sir Alexis with the blue & white feathers.
