On
the left, during the opening court Lord Thomas presents himself with a letter of
reference from his previous barony in Meridies. At right, Lord Padraig, served as herald for Baron Galen & Baroness Allessandra.
Lord Conor na Mara, autocrat
of this event, hosted the chivalric list and invites all to fight or watch
in support. Standing behind Her Excellency is Lady Ceinwen.

At
left, Centurion Airaklee Wolf as the challenger, must fight with his opponents
choice of weapons, florentine chickens. At right, Lord Llew, Wolf's opponent,
crafted such foul instruments of death that Baroness Dana refused to allow her
favor to remain on Llew's belt. With well orchestrated finagling, the belt was
loosened too much and Llew had to bend over to retrieve his pants, delivering to
the unsuspecting Wolf, the light of the silvery moon.

At
left, this photo provided by Maria, shows the chicken fight under way. At right,
Wolf uses his deadly gizzard shot on poor Llew.

With
his dying breath, Lord Llew tells all the tragic story of Lady Ceinwen's fallen
favor, for which he has taken Centurion Wolf to task. Having defeated Lord Llew,
Wolf gives the bird, er, I mean, salutes his Lady and begs her forgiveness.

At
left, Centurion Britta MacGreggor and Lord Daire in this brutal bear pit. At
right, seldom credited, the day's list mistress did an outstanding job and later
won the children's bardic competition. In the background, Baroness Dana and Lord
Padraig are keeping watch over the day's activities.

At
left, the top two finishers in this list provide an awesome bout. At right, Cyniric had an outstanding day on the field. Below, Lord Robert of Slugglen,
"Sluggy" marshaled for much of the day.
