A
view of the hall as the 'stepping down' court for TRM Gunthar & Sara begins. On the
right, Duke Kein is named a Lion of Ansteorra. Vivat!
At
left, Gunthar has removed Sara's crown as she steps down as Queen of Ansteorra. At
right, Count Gunthar has stepped down and is surrounded by the Chivalry which he has just
released from fealty.
Viscount Galen of Bristol began with everyone in the hall standing and asked all those
with one year or less SCA history to be seated. Then two years, three years, and so on
until what you see here on the left--those members who were here twenty years ago. To the
right, Mistress Clare RosMuire St. John carries the last banner of Atenveldt (before the
Kingdom of Ansteorra was founded) bringing a bit of history back to life.
On
the left, everyone is on their feet as His Highness, Prince Daffydd Whittaker, approaches
the throne. At right, attention is drawn to a subversive who challenges the Prince's claim
to the throne.
At
left, Princess Octavia de Verdon draws closer to join her Sovereign on the throne. Her
Highness looked stunning in her black & gold attire. If you have some brighter, closer
or clearer photos, please let me replace these poor images and do justice to HRM. On the
right, King Daffydd crowns Octavia Queen of Ansteorra. VIVAT!
At
left, Their Stellar Majesties have called the Great Officers of State before them
into court to hear them swear their oath's of service. To the right, Countess Sara Penrose
is made a Lady of the Rose by Their Majesties who expressed gratitude for her admirable
service during her previous reign.
On the left, Rex & Regina Ansteorra, Their Stellar Majesties Daffydd Whittaker &
Octavia de Verdon.
