On
the left, the event steward, Sir Galen of Bristol, has some announcements at the beginning
of Their Stellar Majesties Gunthar & Sara's Friday evening court. Seated from left to
right is the Tanista (heiress) of the Principality of Glen Abhean (Western Meridies) then
Prince Daffydd, Princess Octavia (behind Galen), King Gunthar, Queen Sara, King Richard and
Queen Katrina of Meridies. On the right, Lady Arabella de Montecute receives a Sable Crane
(and a hug) for outstanding service to our kingdom.
At
left, Gunthar & Sara, Rex & Regina Ansteorra in need of a little privacy. To the
right, great fun was had by all as Their Majesties were carried about in their new bed.
The bed was made by Sir Alaric Drake's (the King's Champion) household, who donated over
$100 and built it themselves. Sir Drake described this gift as an appropriate tool to aid
in Their Majesties' production of an heir. (The hall must have shook with the resulting
laughter and applause.)
Here are a few of Ansteorra's future.
At
left, (and on the left) Lord Daniel Stewart can be seen in blue and gold. On the
other side of the barrier in the foreground, in purple, is Lord Wolf Waldenganger, who
went on to win the tourney. On the same side as he, in white, is Prince Daffydd. At right,
a massive barrier battle is about to commence. The first few from (starting on the left)
are: Sir Godwin, Sir Wilhelm, Ld. Dragonetti, Centurion Romanius, Lord Dominic and Sir
Drake. Note: This only shows half of the fighters.
To
the left, Centurion Mu is now visible to the left of Sir Godwin as the weapons fly and the
blood spills the instant 'Lay On' is called. To the right, a new Shire is formally
announced.
On
the left, Don Miguel wins the Silver Spurs for that non-belted fighter who
demonstrated a model of chivalry on the field. Sir Timotheous (blocked by Don Miguel)
won the Gold Spurs as the belted fighter to answer His Majesty's challenge. At right, HRM
Sara places a coronet on Sir Max as HRM Gunthar announces Sir Max (and Lady Anne who was
unable to attend) as Baron and Baroness to the Court of Ansteorra. Vivat!
His
Royal Majesty Gunthar presents the Kingdom's newest member of the Order of the Pelican,
Master Richard Fairbourne. Vivat! On the right, Lady Alys Durivaux weeps upon receiving
her Court Baronage which was all but demanded from 20 plus barons and baronesses of the
kingdom. Again, Vivat!
