Photos on this page by Lady Ameline Du Bois.
At left, Empress Matilda's (Duchess Willow) forces gather to defend the castle.
Seated at the extreme left is Lord Fearghus, one of many archers in attendance
for this event. In blue, with white sleeves, is the Baron of Elfsea, Don
Llywelyn Gruffydd. At right, Stephen's (Centurion Tuhtahl) forces have stormed
the castle. Lord Crandal (in red) is the marshal at extreme right.
On the left, the battle continues. Sir Wilhelm (in yellow/blue) can be seen in
the center of it. Baroness Michelle (in black tabard with heart and flames,
reminiscent of Cent. Aesoph) is off to the right firing with her crossbow. On the right,
HL Rosalia O Brogan (in blue) is seated at her spinning wheel in the A & S pavilion.
At left, three from the Arthurian Company. Seated is Lord Fearghus McKenna,
standing are two of Viscount Galen's squires, Lord Armand and Lord
Daniel (in red). At right, the heavy cavalry unit of the Arthurian Company. Lord
Robert of Slugglen, Marmaduke, Lord Dermont and Lord Padraig.
On the left, a shot from atop the archer's tower from within the castle. On the right,
Empress Matilda (Duchess Willow) clarifies rules of engagement with the field
herald and marshal, Master Richard Fairbourne (yellow baldric).
At left, His Majesty Daffydd (in black) was a relative of Kublai Khan on this
day and is seen here surrounded by a few of his squires. Lord Jonathan on the
left and Centurion Aesoph on the right. On the right, between battles we see
Lord Oz (sp?) in the tan leather armor. Behind & to the right of him is
Evets, squire to Sir Corwin, and soon to be seneschal of Ffynnon Gath. Evets
later received his AoA at evening court. Vivat, LORD Evets!
On the left, Empress Matilda (Duchess Willow) and Duke Jonathan find a moment to
rest between battles. On the right, Centurian Airaklee Wolf admires Count
Gunthars new great sword.
At left, Lord Dragonetti in his new shirt with blackwork can finally fight, if
not better, at least with a little more style. At right, King Stephen, (Centurian
Tuhtahl), between battles. King's Stehpen's forces were victorious on this day.
King Stephen promised land for all those that opposed him. (That was about 6
feet of land.)
On the left, Master Richard Fairbourne has just taken Lady Ameline as his newest
protege while his former Pelican looks on. Master Richard was amused at Lady
Ameline's unusual gift. She presented him with adoption papers naming him as
foster parent/sponsor of an actual Pelican at the Ft. Worth Zoo. He'll receive a
Father's Day card from his Pelican along with many other 'benefits'.
