At left, Lord Virgil faces off with Lord Shoern early in this Swiss Five competition. At right, Mistress Stella Silvana, squire to Earl Barn Silveraxe blocks an oncoming attack.



On the left, Lord Corbin de Heather battles Centurion Airaklee Wolf who has either lost his grip or is fighting one handed. Centurion Tuhtahl is marshaling. (Lord Corbin joined the ranks of the Centurions later at evening court. Vivat!) On the right, Lord Virgil, squire to Sir Drake battles with spear as his Knight (in the helm) looks on. The gentle in blue & beige (to the left of Sir Drake) is Dunston, one of Elfsea's newest fighters. Dunston shows great promise as he turned in more wins than losses in this his first tournament.


At left, Centurion Aesoph Hearts, squire to His Majesty Daffydd does battle with Don Miguel Sebastian de'Oporto, who went on to compete in the finals. At right, Centurion Romanius (in maroon) squares off against Sir Timotheous for an intense fight.


On the left, Lady Murean (sp?) travelled all the way from the Seawinds to receive this blow from Lord Daniel Stewart, squire to Sir Galen of Bristol. On the right, Sir Galen is about to deliver a killing blow to his brother knight. Looking on from left to right is Lord Fearghus, Lord Erazmus, King Daffydd, Sir Timotheous, and Lord Curnan Ravenshaw, squire to Sir Drake.


At left, His Majesty Daffydd loves to fight, as he has continued to do throughout his reign. He fought challenge matches in between rounds of this Swiss Five tourney and is about to demonstrate why he is our sovereign to the fighter in green. On the right, Sir Alaric Drake and Don Miguel Sebastian face off in the finals for the right to be hailed as Elfsea's Defender.


On the left, Having won the first of a best 2 out of 3 match, Sir Drake now finds himself in a pool of blood at the hands of Don Miguel, requiring the 3rd match to be fought. (Sorry Sir Drake, but that was a great photo.) On the right, Sir Drake and Don Miguel begin the 3rd and final match with sword and shield. The winner of this round would decide the Defender of Elfsea and was a quite long and heated battle.


On the left, in a gesture of chivalry, Sir Drake joins Don Miguel on his knees, having taken Don Miguel's leg moments earlier. Vivat Sir Drake!


On the left, upon defeating his opponent, Sir Alaric Drake is joined by his Lady Don~a Kayleigh and Their Excellencies of Elfsea, Baron Llywelyn and Baroness Xene. On the right, Sir Drake gives his oath to protect Elfsea with courage, honor and chivalry throughout the coming year as Elfsea's new Defender.
