Images in this section provided by Lady Ameline du Bois.
On the left HL
Allesandre, HL Borek, HL Darius and Lady Pyro have found a bit of shade and demonstrate
some fiber arts to passing visitors. On the right, little Natalie is happy helping mom
(Lady Sindara) answer questions at our static arts pavilion.
At left, our wonderful
event coordinator, Lady Siobhan, explains an effective way to keep a husband in line. (And
I thought my wife was strict.) At right, His Grace, Duke Seamus of the Cats advances to
meet Lord Cuan Longtooth on the list field. Lord Timothy marshaled as Lord Raimond
educated the onlookers as to what they were witnessing.
To the left, Sir Galen of
Bristol, 8th Viscount von Drachenwald, stands ready at the front of the
line of fighters. His protégé, Lady Arabella, is seated behind him and served as List
Mistress for the demo. In line behind Sir Galen is HE Alexander Shanasie, the 7th
Viscount von Drachenwald, then there's Lord Caelin and Lord Dragonetti. Their
Excellencies, Baron Llywellyn & Baroness Xene(seated) are enjoying the days fighting.
Notice the Baroness' bouquet of Thistles, honoring these Scottish Games. To the right, Ld.
Raimond and Brighid have their hands (or laps) full of little Scottish lads, Austin &
Alex. Behind them the line of fighters contains Ld. Archibald in green, then Lord Sfi,
Lord Cuan and Lord Hengist.
On the left, Lord
Archibald Winterbourne's mace was well respected this day as we see Centurion Airaklee
Wolf (florentine) in heated combat. At right, Lord Cuan has been legged as Lord
Archibald (squire to Duke Seamus) reassesses the situation.
Here's a site you don't
see everyday. Duke Seamus (Elfsea's 2nd Baron) fighting the 7th Viscount von Drachenwald,
HE Alexander with Lord Timothy of Glastonbury marshalling. It was a privilege to see this
spectacle. On the right, HL Mara of Rede did a great job at the pavilion, educating and
eliminating confusion of the visitors. (However, I'm not sure if she's spoken with this
gentlemen yet.)
At left, Sir Galen of
Bristol and his squire Lord Dragonetti salute the on looking crowd before beginning their
bout. To the right, we find Lady Layla in her baronial guard tabard, preparing for evening
court.
On the left, Lord
Archibald & Centurion Wolf are at it again as Lord Darius marshaled this round. On the
right, a shot of the water bearers who took care of not only the fighters, but the
marshals and spectators as well. Vivat!
At left, His Grace, Duke
Seamus of the Cats and Her Excellency, Baroness Margery de Bray. To the right, Lord Cuan
(in gold) is holding Lord Archibald's (in green, the tall one) newest addition to the
family. Lord Archibald's Lady is seated in front.
Baron Llywellyn and
Baroness Zara Zina look outstanding as they address the populace during evening court. At
right, after winning the Rapier tournament, Lord Raimond received a very nice buckler
trimmed in leather superbly tooled by Lord Hengist. Raimond immediately offered a choice
of bucklers to Brighid who has been loaning her buckler to him recently. Brighid chose her
old buckler, stating that Raimond's new one might encourage his continuing improvement in
rapier combat. Vivat!
On the left, Baroness
Maggie thanked everyone in attendance and gave a gift of cookies to all the fighters of
the day's tournament. On the right, Centurion Airaklee Wolf kneels before Their
Excellencies as he gives his oath and is made the new commander of the Arthurian Company
for the coming year.
From left to right, Lord Fearghus,
Viscount Alexander, Lord Daniel, Honorable Lady Allesandre, Lord Dragonetti and Lord
Caelin each laid a hand on the sword held by warrior Baroness Xene and repeated their
oaths to join the Arthurian Company. To the right of Lord Caelin is the Company Commander,
Centurion Wolf who is just visible on the other side of HE Baron Llywelyn.
The following two images provided by Honorable Lady Allesandre.
On the left, HE Sir Galen of Bristol battles his squire, Lord Armand Dragonetti.
On the right, Sir Galen is seen victorious over his squire as Lord Darius of the
Bells looks on having marshaled the bout.
PLEASE send corrections or more detailed descriptions to Armand Dragonetti.
